Return Policies

We always want our customers to be happy customers. We will always strive to help you quickly and efficiently resolve any problems you may encounter with orders you receive from us. Just contact us by e-mail or phone and we'll do our best for you.

If you wish to return a book for any reason, please contact us for a return authorization number. Merchandise returned without an authorization number may be delayed or misdirected (your authorization number alerts us to the fact that this is a high priority customer return!).


Damaged Merchandise

Though we pack and ship all books, art, and collectibles with extreme care, in the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us and we will assist you. There is never any problem with returning damaged merchandise, so long as it is reported to us within 5 days of its being delivered to you.


New Books

Any books purchased in the New Books section of the website can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The book returned must be in as new, unused, unread condition. Note: We often cannot accept returns of limited edition books, as we often order these books specifically based upon orders received from customers and cannot return them to the publisher. However, we will always strive to accommodate you if we can.


Old and Rare

Old and rare titles may be returned within 5 days of receipt, if they are not as described in our catalogs or on our website. If this is the case and you wish to return an old and rare book, please contact us for an authorization number.


Oz

Any books, games, toys, or collectibles purchased in the World of Oz section of the website can be returned within 14 days of receipt. The items being returned must be in as new, unused, unread condition.

Note: We often cannot accept returns of limited edition books or handcrafted items that are made to order (e.g. stained glass pieces, fine jewelry, and limited edition collectibles), as we often have to order these items specifically based upon orders received from customers and cannot return them to the manufacturer or artist. However, we will always strive to accommodate you if we can.


Art

We only accept returns of original artwork or posters that have been damaged in shipping. Please feel free to call and discuss any artwork or posters you are considering buying before placing your order. We pack all original art with extreme care. However, should in the unlikely event that a piece of art is damaged in shipment, please call us immediately at (800) 207-6968 and we will assist you.


Please Note

Books of Wonder does not reimburse shipping cost for returned items unless the item has been damaged in shipping. Books of Wonder normal business hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday. Our Customer Service Department can be reached at 1-212.989.3475.
